Light ♦ Goodness ♦ Purity A beautiful yoga studio in Escondido, CA

Newsletter ♦ December 2019

Dear Students and Friends of Sattva,

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming the new owners of the yoga studio, Keila and David Jenson!

After much deliberation and counsel, I decided to move my life forward by focusing on my healthcare work and being available to my children.

I offered the sale of the yoga studio privately—and was delighted when Keila and David said yes! Keila and David have wonderful plans for the studio, as you’ll read in their message below.

The official date of new ownership will be December 1, 2019. All 10-class, monthly, and annual passes are valid as purchased.

Thank you for your continued support. In honor of Rached, the studio will remain open.

Yours truly,

Darlene Maalouf

 Dear Sattva Friends and Yogis,

We are so honored and thankful that Darlene has asked us to take stewardship of Sattva. We intend to continue the legacy of service and community that she and Rached created over the past years, for years and years to come. While the name of the studio will simplify slightly from Sattva Fitness Yoga Center to Sattva Yoga Center, our intention is for the traditions and purity of the yoga to continue unbroken.

All annual and monthly passes, etc., will absolutely be honored through the transition of ownership. We’re also planning on adding classes to the schedule for the new year and including new options for online class and package booking and payments (more on those points to come).

We want to express our gratitude to Darlene for the trust, counsel, and encouragement she’s given us—and for all she’s done to keep this blessed place open for the wonderful people who have found practice and community here. Additionally, we want to thank Sandy and Sean Heath, Martha and Elisa, Michele S., Julie K., the teachers and the students who have kept the studio going and stayed with it through this rocky time of change.

Moving forward, we will all keep the teachings of Rached Maalouf in our hearts and in our practice. Sattva will continue, and we hope to welcome and serve and practice beside you for years and years to come.

Namaste,

Keila-Rae & David Jenson
